Pandit Jai Kishan Maharaj, an exceptionally talented dancer, comes from a well-known family of dance professionals in the nation. He represents the Lucknow Kalka-Bindadin Gharana’s eighth generation. From an early age, Pt. Jai Kishan absorbed the art of Kathak with tremendous devotion being the son of the legendary maestro Padma Vibhushan Pandit Birju Maharaj. Pt. Jai Kishan Maharaj Ji is the ‘Ganda Bandhan’ Disciple of Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji(His Father and Guru).

He has won numerous honours, including the Business and Entertainment Award, the Bharat Icon Award, the Delhi Ratna Award, and the Gaurav Award, to name a few.

He taught contemporary kathak like the Chaitna ballet based on aids(Dance Drama), Krishna based kathak which are bansuri, vrij bansi, etc. He’s an amazing singer, Musician, Writer, Composer too. He has Written more than 300 Bandishen(Items) like Laghu Ramayan, Thumri, Dadra, Ghazal, Bhajan, etc.
